Warren Jacob

Warren Jacob has over 32 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and transactions. Mr. Jacob is currently the managing partner of Palisades Investment Properties, a real estate syndication and investment company where he structures and manages investments in residential income properties in the Southern California market.

Prior to PIP, Mr. Jacob was a real estate attorney with several international law firms including Reed Smith, O’Melveny & Myers and Dewey Ballantine, where he advised U.S. and foreign banks, commercial finance lenders, insurance companies and U.S. and foreign real estate investment companies with respect to commercial real estate financing, joint ventures, acquisitions and sales. These transactions involved a wide variety of property classifications from national movie theater chains, day care and senior centers and auto service facilities to high rise trophy office buildings in major markets across the country.  He has advised lenders with respect to the real estate assets securing corporate financings with many of these transactions involving multiple properties and jurisdictions.

In addition to his legal expertise, Mr. Jacob has a unique insight into real estate investment, having been a principal or investor in more than 25 residential income property investments. As a principal at PIP, he focuses on syndicating high yield apartments in the Los Angeles market with high net worth individual investors. As an investor himself, he has partnered with private real estate investment companies investing in Class A apartment properties across the country.

Mr. Jacob received his law degree from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California, his Master of Business Taxation degree from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and his undergraduate degree in Managerial Accounting, Cum Laude from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he was a recipient of the Albertson Medallion. He was admitted to practice law in California in 1983 and in Wisconsin in 1984. Although currently not licensed, Mr. Jacob held a California Real Estate Broker’s License for more than 20 years.  Mr. Jacob is currently on the board of a vacation property in Vail, Colorado managed by Marriott.  He previously served as the President of the La Canada Unified School District Governing Board.
